This year at Alpharetta Elementary, our 5th grade class entered the Kroger Earning Plus Learning contest, this is a competition in where you make a video and you enter the video and if you win first place you can win up to $2,500! Second place can win $1,000. The video has to at least 1 to 3 minutes long.
The idea to recycle was to earn money for our school, so we can buy supplies for our school an our classroom. We also want to convine people to recycle. We were trying to show you how we recycle at our school, home, and neighborhood.
We are a group of seven kids an our names are: Kelli, Leah, Tim, Jacob, Jared, and Fernando. Our name is Haight's Green Machines! We meet every Thursday. Then we had to figure out what to say,and sent in pictures to make a slide show. The slides took from 15 to 30 minutes long.
We also used quite a bit of technology. We used Squidoo.com,Google.com and frames. We had a hard time choosinhg the site on which the video was going to be made. There was over 5 sites.
Our motto is " We have one chance for this Earth, and one Earth for this chance, SAVE IT WHILE WE CAN!! We fund it on accident . We were just looking for a good recycling team name. The original writer was Lori Lee Ray.
We want our Earth to be clean! Yay!

Super Bowl Sunday
Superbowl XLV is coming up and I'm so excited! Steelers V.S. Packers, who will win?( PACKERS WILL). I'm saying that cause I know Clay Mathews is going to BREAK ROTHLESBURGERS FACE! Packers beat the Falcons in playoffs 42-24 so they have to be pretty good. I still have a feeling Polumolu is going to have a pic for a TD.Steelers played the Seahawks in playoffs and won 31-24. At the beginning they were losing 14-0 but they never stopped trying and won. Blogged By: Tim and Jared
