Stevie Wonder

Stevie Wonder was born 1950 and almost blind! By age six he was completely blind. Even though Stevie was blind he had a great ear. That means he could hear himself and others very well. Stevie Wonder started his music carrer in the 1980's and became more popular as the years went on. Did you know that Stevie Wonders real name is Stevland Hardway Judkins? When Stevie was born his parents dicided to name him Steven, but one day they rethought the name and decided to go for Stevland. That's a pretty rocking name don't you think?

By age 5 Stevie was making millions of dollars a year. He was the top grossing artist untill of course Queen came along. Stevie gave many generous donations to hospitals and other child care companies. Stevie Wonder was a great singer and thats why I chose him as my Black History Month Person
